MH: Plant Operations- ( Full Time, Varied Shift) -
Job Summary: The Electrician 2 performs advanced electrical maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of machines, buildings and equipment. Completes skilled tasks related to preventive electrical maintenance, alterations and repairs in a timely and professional manner. Installs and connects wiring, conduit, and various fixtures safely and effectively. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Minimum three years of related experience required.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to diagnose and perform maintenance on various machines, equipment, and systems required. Knowledge of proper maintenance of electrical components, building safety, basic electrical theory, electrical tools and testing devices is required. Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), CEC (California Electrical Code), and NFPA 70e (National Fire Protection Association). Knowledge of building procedures, operations, electrical panel identification system, differentiation of electrical power distribution systems, and single line distribution systems. Able to distinguish line and load side electrical powered equipment. Able to read, write legibly, and communicate in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: Valid Driver’s License at time of hire required
