JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a licensed Electrical Journeyperson (309A – Construction & Maintenance) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code. This role also includes mentoring and supervising apprentices, ensuring safe, high-quality work on all job sites.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification – 309A (Construction & Maintenance Electrician).
  • Knowledge of and adherence to the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and other relevant standards.
  • Minimum 2 years of post-certification experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to supervise and instruct apprentices in accordance with Skilled Trades Ontario standards an asset
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with electrical tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Working at Heights, WHMIS, or other safety certifications.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial environments.

  • Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and meters to ensure functionality and safety.

  • Supervise and instruct electrical apprentices, ensuring proper training and safe work practices.
  • Complete job documentation, including timesheets, work orders, and inspection records.
  • Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and inspectors to ensure job completion within scope and timeline.
  • Ensure tools, materials, and job sites are maintained in an organized and safe condition.
