About the Role: The Electrician - Apprentice role is designed to provide hands-on training and practical experience in the electrical trade under the supervision of experienced electricians. The primary goal is to develop the technical skills and knowledge necessary to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems safely and efficiently. This position serves as a foundational step toward becoming a licensed electrician, emphasizing learning electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices. Apprentices will gain exposure to residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work, preparing them for a diverse range of future assignments. Ultimately, this role aims to cultivate a highly skilled electrician capable of independently managing electrical projects with precision and professionalism. Pay range: $25-27 per hour, depending on experience Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. * Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. * Basic understanding of electrical concepts or coursework in electrical technology. * Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces. Preferred Qualifications: * Previous experience in construction or electrical work. * Enrollment or willingness to enroll in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program. * Familiarity with hand and power tools used in electrical work. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities: * Assist journeyman electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. * Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes to ensure compliance with safety standards. * Perform basic electrical tasks such as measuring, cutting, bending, and threading conduit and wiring under supervision. * Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and using personal protective equipment. * Participate in on-the-job training sessions and attend related classroom instruction to enhance technical knowledge.
