Bennett Electrical is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Electrician to join our team.

REQUIREMENTS

· Full UK Driving License
· NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrotechnical Systems or Electrical Installation
· 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
· Inspection & Testing qualification
· ECS Gold Card
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electrical industry

THE ROLE

You will lead a small team responsible for the supply and installation of AC distribution systems supporting perimeter security on utility-scale solar farms.
Your time will be split between:
· Workshop-based work: Preparing and building electrical distribution equipment in our Northampton warehouse.
· On-site installation: Installing and commissioning equipment at sites across the UK.
You’ll also support a range of local commercial and high-end residential projects, bringing variety to your workload.
Please note: Some projects will require staying away from home for 3–5 days at a time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Leading installation teams on site
· Planning, building, and pre-wiring:
o Single and three-phase distribution boards
o Generator changeover switches
o Small power and lighting systems
· On-site installation, connection, testing, and certification of prebuilt systems
· Fault finding and diagnostics on live systems
· Accurate use of job management and certification software
