Develop your talents by applying your expertise within our facility in Niagara Falls, as the Electrician :

What your day will look like:

  • Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance, ensuring high-speed automation equipment, tooling, and machinery adhere to designed standards.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance throughout the mill.
  • Utilize PLCs and HMIs for troubleshooting, including basic programming skills to address equipment and associated processes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in instrumentation, encompassing pressure transmitters, level indicators, RTDs, valve positioners, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution systems, AC/DC controls, and magnetic/electronic motor controls.
  • Troubleshooting background to both AC and DC controls.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and VSDs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic devices. Analyze documentation for pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
  • Evaluate products, troubleshoot processes and equipment, and facilitate repairs or adjustments to enhance line performance and meet quality standards. Troubleshoot control loops.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools, aerial lift equipment, and fall protection. Comply with mill safety protocols, maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years electrical work experience
  • Comfort working with computers
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Paper mill or web-process experience is a strong asset.
