Electrician * Immediate start available * Full-time role with EBA rates and conditions * 5 days on, 2 days off (Monday–Friday) * Melbourne Metro based with travel to Geelong as required At Downer, we plan, create and sustain. Our team is seeking an ITS Electrician to support transport infrastructure projects across freeways, arterial roads, and smart traffic systems. This role is ideal for a qualified electrician looking to build experience within a specialised Intelligent Transport Systems environment. About the Role Installing, testing, and commissioning ITS equipment including VMS, CCTV, traffic signals, detectors, and communications cabinets Performing fault finding and maintenance on electrical and ITS systems Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and specifications Conducting preventative maintenance and inspections Ensuring compliance with safety standards and project requirements Completing job documentation and reporting Working both independently and within a team environment About You A-Grade Electrical Licence (Victoria) Current Driver’s Licence White Card (Construction Induction) Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills Experience working with ITS, traffic signals, or road infrastructure (highly regarded) Ability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends if required Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship What We Offer Tool of trade vehicle Ongoing training and career development Supportive and safety-focused team environment Access to Downer employee benefits and discounts Proudly recognised as a WORK180 Endorsed Employer for All Women To apply, click Apply and submit your application.
