Description
This position is responsible for the maintenance, trouble shooting and advanced mechanical repair of machinery used to produce commercial electrical products. Additionally, the Electrician is required to prove competency in operation and repair of production equipment as assigned, including but not limited to the automated production lines, clampers, tappers, screwdrivers, coilers, flatteners, air slides, conveyors, carton packing machines, and power presses. Troubleshoot production and other equipment Maintain equipment and performance of the required day-to-day tasks Perform welder, production line and equipment changeovers, including assisting with loading steel coils on automated lines Assist with removal and replacement of failed mechanical components Assist and/or lead Power Press inspections and daily equipment preventive maintenance Troubleshoot 3 phase power and control systems for automated press equipment Troubleshoot Drive systems for automated Coilers, Flatteners, welders, and Presses Troubleshoot electrical components such as relays, limit switches, motor starters, and control transformers Review equipment prints and manuals to assist in troubleshooting Properly use multi meter, megger, ohm meter to troubleshoot equipment Use Logix or similar software to view I/O and ladder logic Asist engineers with plant related electrical projects Perform hot work permit tasks (soldering or other hot work tasks) Understanding manufacturing safety practices, including fire safety, fall protection, fall restraint, lifting systems safety, crane operations, and powered industrial lift truck operations A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Must have completed NFPA 70E Must have working experience with 3 phase electrical equipment (480v max). Must have working experience with PLC and Drive troubleshooting. Must have working experience encoders/resolvers for rotary equipment. Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Washington, PA (50 miles) will be considered for this position. A minimum of 7 years previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in Ladder Logic Working knowledge of Allen Bradley VFDs and PLC layouts Working knowledge with I/O communication cards and troubleshooting techniques Working knowledge/ high familiarity with 3 phase automated equipment and drive systems. Comfortable using PLC viewing software's, to troubleshoot, control systems. Team player, willingness and ability to coach less experienced maintenance mechanics as needed Familiarity with “Link System/Omni Link” press controls. Familiarity with “combi” or similar carton packing systems/gantries.
