We are a tight team of electricians, apprentices and admin staff and we’ve grown steadily year on year by having the right people with us on our journey. We are now hoping to find another “right” person to help us grow even further.
I think we’re not like the other electrical contractors out there as we care about the people that represent us and we want the right people to be part of the team.
The right person for us would be a good team player with self assurance to get the job done. Experience is key in this role as we already have apprentices at various stages in their careers, so we need people that can pass their wealth of experience on to them. You’ll need to be NVQ qualified with your AM2 as it is a minimum requirement to work on some of the contracts we have. 2391 inspection and testing or equivalent would also be highly advantageous. We are also installing Renewable technology and are MCS and RECC accredited installers so knowledge of solar PV installations would be advantageous.
We have various ongoing projects including new build projects, barn conversions, plus the day to day electrical work keeping businesses and homes safe. We also work closely with a major contractor to provide improvements to a large amount of older homes which will involve new kitchen rewires, full rewires and upgrades of consumer units.
We also carry out a large amount or Electrical reports in empty properties and complete remedial works to these to get them up to standard.
Further to this we have an out of hours emergency call out rota which is currently 1 in 7 weeks. Extra renumeration is paid as a standby payment and any call outs are at an enhanced rate.

We do like to be a bit different so 22 days holiday plus bank holidays is our start and it’ll increase with length of service. It is also based on average of hours worked so you dont lose out when you do have some time off. Plus of course a work based pension, a company uniform, a tablet to be able to get the job done and a quality van to get around in.
Regarding a salary i think we’ve made it clear we’re looking for someone that would be an asset to our company and renumeration would be appropriate but we would expect to pay £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, although some of our engineers are earning in excess of £50,000 with overtime.
