OUR OPPORTUNITY

Location: Hedland Operations- Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: 8D6R7N7R – Residential Port Hedland
Join a high-performing team at Fortescue, where your skills help keep our operations running safely and efficiently. We’re currently seeking an experienced Electrician to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across our fixed plant and ancillaries.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• WA A-Grade Electrical Licence
• HV switching ticket and experience
• Strong fault-finding skills in continuous operations (iron ore preferred)
• Experience with VSDs, PLCs, Profibus/Profinet/DeviceNet
• Solid understanding of electrical schematics, isolation, and permitting
• Familiarity with SAP, Fiori, and other digital maintenance systems
• A proactive, safety-first approach with leadership capability

• Diagnose and repair faults on fixed plant equipment
• Perform high voltage switching and statutory testing
• Respond to breakdowns and support shutdowns
• Maintain and calibrate instrumentation and belt weighers
• Backup parameters on ABB, Siemens & WEG drives
• Ensure accurate documentation, logbooks, and isolations
• Identify and implement safety and efficiency improvements
