Jardeg is recruiting Electrician Forepersons to join our maintenance team at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. The Electrician Foreperson Base Rate is $58.71/hr. This position is a permanent position starting mid-September on a 7/7 or 14/14 shift rotation working 12 hours per day. This is a compressed schedule and is straight time for all hours worked on the regular maintenance schedule. Camp accommodation is provided at the Richardson camp, all rooms have a private washroom, and the camp is walking distance to the site footprint. Flights are provided out of Calgary or Edmonton flight hubs.

As an Electrician Foreperson your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Assist with planning and organizing the day-to-day completion of projects to support production plans.
  • Supervise and organize tasks assigned to employees and oversee work performed.
  • Read and interpret client and company supplied drawings and specifications.
  • Expert conduit skills.
  • Expert with circuitry planning and installations.
  • Expert control systems planning and installation.
  • Proficient multi-meter, Meggar, Phase Rotation meter and AMP-Meter usage.
  • Proficiency in ARC Flash awareness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Journeyperson certification as an Electrician Journeyperson.
  • Minimum 2 Years Leadership experience
  • Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to industry regulations.
  • Physical aptitude to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and working at heights.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • This role requires a satisfactory criminal record check due to access to nuclear substances.
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space Entry & Monitor
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection
  • Aerial Work Platform
  • Basic Rigging
  • Valid Government Issued Identification
