LOCATION: HEARST, ON

GreenFirst is looking for an electrician to work within a team to perform maintenance on electrical and/or instrumentation and control systems, install repair, modify, and troubleshoot industrial equipment for electrical/electronic distribution and control (power and domestic).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of an Electrical Engineering Technology program or equivalent.
  • Valid Electrician License Construction & Maintenance (C&M) 309A or an Industrial Electrician 442A.
  • Must have good communication and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical prints.
  • Able to set priorities and work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong computing and troubleshooting ability.
  • Teamwork and self-starting work ethic.
  • Knowledge of Lockout: Isolation and de energization of all energy sources for the work area.
  • Bilingualism is an asset (French and English).

Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical work as required: installing, repairing, troubleshooting, testing, and analyzing equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical code specifications, blueprints, and circuit diagrams.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs on electrical equipment.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork, machine/panel documentation, and preventative maintenance records.
  • In emergencies make temporary or permanent repairs to minimize interruption of production.
  • Assisting on other duties to support the maintenance team to meet department requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
