Description Main Purpose: The Electrician Helper is responsible for assisting with installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within generator enclosures, troubleshooting electrical issues and performing preventative maintenance. Essential Functions: Assist Electricians with installing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, wiring and equipment Help read and interpret blueprints, schematics and electrical diagrams Support conduit work by measuring, cutting, threading, preparing, bending and installing Pull wire and wire circuits, including 4-way switch configurations, under the direction of a licensed Electrician Help stage and organize materials, tools and equipment needed for daily tasks Assist in the integration of transformers and connection of 3-phase motors Provide support in working around 208V and 480V systems Assist in the performance of routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and company safety policies Assist with diagnosing electrical malfunctions and make necessary repairs or replacements Support the Electrician with maintaining and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), control panels, motors and other electrical components Assist with power distribution and ensure proper grounding and circuit protection Collaborate with engineers, maintenance personnel and other team members to support operations Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance and installations Follow directions and guidance from Electricians, Mentors and Supervisors Perform other duties assigned by supervisor Benefits Offered: Earned Wage Access Health, Dental and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Holidays Paid Vacation Life Insurance Disability Insurance Safety Awards Company Store Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Requirements Physical Requirements: Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing Turning, twisting, bending and balancing Pushing, pulling and reaching Must be able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds Job Requirements: Trade school training in electrical systems or equivalent experience under a licensed Electrician Basic understanding of electrical schematics, diagrams and blueprints Basic knowledge of electrical codes, specifically the National Electric Code (NEC) Must be able to read a tape measure Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical Must be able to pass a background check Desirable Experience, Education and Training: 1+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment High School Diploma or equivalent Tools, Equipment and Technology: Conduits, blueprints, electrical diagrams, PLCs, generators, motors, control panels, etc. Environmental Conditions: 80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet and dry conditions, dust, mud etc. They will also be exposed to paint thinner and paint fumes.
