Job Details Job Location: Lyons, OR Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: Undisclosed Job Shift: Swing Job Category: Skilled Labor - Trades Description Job Title: Electrician Journeyman Branch: Plywood and Veneer Manufacturing Report To: Electrical Supervisor Schedule: Eight to ten-hour shifts Status: Full-time Wage Range: $38.60 - $40.60 Essential Functions Installs, maintains and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus or equipment, replaces or repairs parts, detects and replaces defective control modules, tests and makes adjustments. Prepares wiring diagrams to record changes. Experience with hardware and software programming a benefit. Install, maintain and troubleshoot various industrial electronic devices, but not limited to: variable Interface (HMI, VFD), software systems, robotics and instrumentation. Develop and maintain programs for Modicon, Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC’s, HMI, and Motion Controllers. Other Responsibilities Responsibilities are not limited to the above-mentioned and may include assisting other branches with reasonable and related tasks. Physical Demands Work in extreme temperatures, dusty, and noisy conditions, work from heights, ability to work out of a man basket and in confined/restricted areas. Shift work , five days per week, weekends, holidays and shut-downs. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Ability to frequently walk distances, climb ladders, climb up on equipment, or stand for prolonged periods of time Exposed to airborne particles, dust, dirt and frequent high levels of noise Ability to bend, stoop, and/or squat frequently Exposed to outdoor weather conditions, and indoor conditions, including variations in temperature and conditions Consistently works near, on or around mechanical parts Frequent reaching, handling, carrying and balancing. Qualifications Qualifications Educational Requirements ; High School Graduate or GED Experience Requirements : Some Mill experience, particularly with laminated veneer lumber, plywood, etc. License : Journeyman Manufacturing Plant (PJ) or General Journeyman • Be able to read and understand electrical schematics • Proven leadership skills • Good analytical, problem-solving skills, computer and math skills • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills • Positive and Excellent Interpersonal and Customer Service skills • Ability to make important decisions under pressure • Time management skills • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing roles and responsibilities. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage efficiently and effectively. • Computer literacy in commonly used business software products such as spreadsheets, word processing and database management • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, plant management and customers.
