Career Details Job Title: Electrical Journeyperson Number of Openings: 1 Job Type: Temporary Fulltime Minimum Level of Education: Red Seal Journeyperson Certificate Years of Related Experience: 5+ Locations to be Supported: Sturgeon County Fabrication Shop Duration: 4 months + Position Summary We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Journeyman Electrician to join our fabrication shop team in Fort Saskatchewan. This role is responsible for installing, electrical systems and equipment for a specific project, while ensuring all work meets code, project specifications, and safety requirements. Other responsibilities include: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, controls, panels, lighting systems, and fabrication equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications to support fabrication and shop projects. Assist with planning day-to-day tasks and sequencing work to meet project deadlines. Perform testing, inspections, and troubleshooting to diagnose electrical issues and ensure systems are functioning properly. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and updates to drawings when required. Work closely with supervisors, project personnel, and other trades to support safe and efficient shop operations. Ensure work is completed in compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code, company standards, and OH&S requirements. Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and hazard assessments. Support equipment commissioning, maintenance, and minor upgrades. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and assist with shop close-out activities as required. Represent the company professionally and contribute to a respectful, inclusive workplace. Our Ideal Candidate 5+ years of applicable experience. Red Seal Certified Journeyperson. Must have a valid Driver’s License. Must be capable of physical labour. Good written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to meet quality standards.
