Adams, Inc. has been in business for over 35 years, specializing in home power solutions, commercial & residential electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Our apprenticeship program emphasizes hard work combined with providing and teaching the technical side of the trades through state-of-the-art training. We are proud to offer a competitive starting pay range of $17.23 per hour with increases once you are selected, and enrolled, in our electrical apprenticeship program (Associated Builders & Contractors - Wisconsin). If you are a current apprentice, or have electrical experience, you could be eligible for a higher starting pay. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for electrical installations and maintenance for residential, commercial and industrial settings. This is a potential apprenticeship opportunity. You will start as a laborer, and if you prove ready for the long-term commitment of an apprenticeship, Adams, Inc. will work with you throughout this process, with the intent of you eventually becoming a licensed Journeyman Electrician. Qualifications: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record High school diploma or GED required or within 6-months of graduation Completion of two-semesters of Algebra or above, at the High School or above level, with a passing grade of "C" or better Must be able to pass the Next Gen Accuplacer test for Math and Reading, or show a passing score of 15 in Math and Reading on the ACT (test must be within 5-years) Must have some work experience, preferably in the trades / construction environment Schedule: The schedule for this role is primarily Monday – Friday, day-time hours. Later hours and weekends may be required depending on our workload and the needs/schedules of our customers/clients. Schedules will fluctuate as our workload fluctuates. Students applying may begin part-time with a goal of switching to full-time after graduation. Physical Requirements: This position requires consistent heavy lifting of up to 75 pounds, in addition to possibly climbing onto roofs and/or tall buildings as well as attics and crawl spaces. You may need to use a bucket lift for some projects, elevated in the air. Additionally, you may be required to dig/trench outside in increment weather as needed for projects. All safety measures will be taken and proper PPE (personal protective equipment) will be used in accordance with OSHA standards. Pay increase will be given throughout the apprenticeship and based on positive progression. We encourage you to give it a shot and apply!
