Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Due to company growth, we are seeking an Electrician to join our Operations team on a full-time, permanent basis on a salary of $105,000 per annum. Salaries are based on 38 hours per week, however you will be paid for all hours worked.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete electrical installation works in accordance with AS3000 Wiring Rules and other applicable Australian Standards
  • Test commission electrical installations in accordance with Australian Standards
  • Diagnose faults and repair faulty or defective electrical equipment and apparatus
  • Carry out Electrical maintenance activities according to plan
  • Carry out Electrical breakdown maintenance in a safe and efficient manner
  • Provide accurate information to update the maintenance information system
  • Follow and complete all required reports correctly
  • Monitor the environment and report to the Line Manager on an ongoing basis regarding status of plant and equipment
  • Understand all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative obligations
  • Take corrective action where necessary in response to reported defects
  • Work in accordance with the shutdown department HSEQ plans which focus on all aspects of the HSEQ system
  • Carry out work in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • WA Electrical Licence
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Sound knowledge of electrical procedures
  • Ability to service, diagnose and repair Machinery and Fixed Plant equipment.
  • Excellent communications and organisational skills
  • Previous FIFO or mine site experience
