INTRODUCTION:

We’re on the lookout for a qualified Electrician to join the team at Sydney’s most iconic amusement park. This full-time role worked across four days per week, giving you more flexibility in your work/life balance while being part of a close-knit, high-energy Maintenance team that keeps the magic running behind the scenes. Based on operational requirements, this role may also be required to work at least 2 weekends in a four-week period as part of their full-time roster.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and tools to locate the cause of the break down and correct the problem
Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes
Perform electrical services on LV systems for general cyclical maintenance, restoration, general repairs, testing and construction work as required
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
Identify, record and communicate issues impacting on operations and visitors
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices.
Perform rides inspections with diligence and care, only certifying rides for operation when thorough and complete rides inspections have been completed
Perform emergency evacuations of guests on rides when required
Work from ladders, scaffolds, roofs and elevated platforms to service or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures
Adhere to Computerized Maintenance Management System (MEX) work order system and follow through with special projects in an efficient and timely manner
Complete and update work orders and reporting requirements in detail and with accuracy in MEX
Perform all trade and non-trade related work activities as scheduled, allocated and instructed
Maintain all personal and company tools, equipment and work spaces in an orderly and safe manner. Ensure tools are cleaned after use, stored away in correct locations, bins emptied, floor swept
Conduct work in a safe manner and abide by all WH&S legislative and enterprise requirements.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

Trade qualification - Electrical
NSW Electrical Licence
Possession of EWP/scaffold/ rigger tickets
Post trade industrial experience, preferably with heavy machinery/high risk environments
Comfortable working at heights
A general understanding of PLC operating systems and their maintenance
A demonstrated commitment to safety and awareness of WH&S procedures
Extensive post trade experience in electrical services on LV systems for general cyclical maintenance, restoration, general repairs, testing and construction work
General understanding of PLC operating systems, installation and maintenance
Experience in motor switch gear and control including (DOL, soft, variable speed drives)
Electrical installation and maintenance experience within a work environment using QA, WH&S and ideally environmental system
