Marine Technicians Australia (MTA) is a highly specialised Australian owned and operated marine-electrical company, focused on services for the Defence sector at various locations across Australia. MTA’s primary focus is working on a variety of Royal Australian Navy platforms. MTA has immediate opportunities for people who are looking for a long-term career working on an exciting Naval Shipbuilding Project.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous electrical ship building experience preferable but not essential.
• Electrical Fitter / Mechanic trade certificate.
• Current WA - A Grade Electrical License.
• White Card
• Current National Police Clearance (within 1 months) OR willing to obtain one.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.

  Pay: $50.00 – $55.00 per hour

• Complying with all Company and Client Safety, Industrial Relations, Environmental management requirements for the project(s), and tasks you are undertaking.
• Demonstrating a commitment to on-site safety and environmental control by ensuring compliance with Project Risk Analysis and JSEA’s and stopping unsafe/incorrect work practices whenever identified.
• Maintaining work task/package quality control documentation.
• Participating in the preparation of JSEA’s prior to commencement of tasking (where required).
• Interpreting technical specifications and drawings.
• Participating in scheduled training and actively pursuing onsite training to enhance skills.
• Contribute to the effectiveness of own work through productive personal behavior.
• Being conscientious and accurate with meticulous attention to detail.
• Abiding by all statutory and legal requirements.
