Job Description: Maryland Environmental Service (MES) has an opening for an Electrician to join the Technical and Environmental Services Group at the BWI Marshall Airport field office. Responsibilities include performing installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment used for a variety of projects at BWI and Martin State Airports as well as other MES operated facilities throughout the state. This field office is a designated 24/7 emergency essential facility. Therefore, the ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions will be required. Estimated Pay Range: $50,233.92 - $69,070.88 Benefits: Health Insurance with choice of medical plan and prescription, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance options, along with flexible spending accounts 401K retirement savings program with generous agency match Paid vacation, personal and sick leave Ten paid holidays per year Tuition assistance Minimum Requirements: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED equivalent certificate plus three years of experience performing installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment. Formal training from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field of study may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis for up to three (3) years of the required experience. Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 5 points and the ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. This position will be open until filled.
