ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who is:
· Fully qualified and experienced in both domestic and commercial electrical work
· Professional, reliable, and respectful in customer-facing roles
· Self-motivated and capable of working independently
· Comfortable using digital tools for documentation and reporting
· A strong communicator who values quality and customer care
REQUIREMENTS
· NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
· 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (required)
· City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Inspection & Testing (preferred)
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field
· Full UK driving licence (max 6 points)
· Right to work in the UK
As a trusted field-based electrician, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
· Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults in both domestic and light commercial settings
· Carrying out small to mid-size electrical installations, including consumer units, lighting circuits, sockets, and control panels
· Performing remedial works following failed EICRs or other compliance checks
· Replacing or upgrading outdated electrical accessories (e.g., switches, sockets, fixtures)
· Conducting inspection and testing in line with industry regulations (EICRs, MWC, EIC)
· Completing accurate risk assessments, installation certificates, and customer satisfaction forms using digital tools
· Ensuring compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
· Communicating with customers in a polite, professional manner and explaining work when needed
· Maintaining company vehicle stock levels and reporting material requirements to the office
· Assisting with emergency call-outs as part of the on-call rota (with additional pay)
· Working closely with office staff and other engineers to ensure smooth project completion
· Representing the company brand positively at all times
