KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Experience in commercial Solar PV Installations.
  • Experience in LV Installations/Modifications.
  • Experience in Maintenance/Solar PV Roles.
  • Retail Project Management experience.
  • Experience with Seaward PV150 Solar PV Tester.
  • Knowledge of Heath & Safety, Permit to Work procedures, and safe working systems.
  • Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights.
  • Willingness to work away from home.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Time and workload management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Great time management skills, you must be comfortable working under pressure to deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Projects and Excel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Level 3 Award, BS7671 18th Edition, Inspection and Testing 2391
  • Drone experience not essential but beneficial.
Responsibilities

OUTLINE OF ROLE

As part of the Solar O&M team, you will be responsible for maintenance inspections, producing maintenance reports, fault finding, upgrades and installations to deliver the highest level of service. You’ll handle commercial rooftop systems predominantly three-phase, answer queries, report defects and keep management teams updated. Completing work-related documentation with evidence, maintaining accurate logs of inspections and remedial work is key.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Site inspection and testing of existing Solar PV Installations.
  • Analysing onsite test results with remote monitoring figures.
  • Remedial works to maintain fully generating systems (Isolator changes, Inverter changes, replacement panels).
  • Completing, work-related documentation, maintain accurate logs and scheduling inspections.
  • Obtaining quotes from suppliers for replacement equipment.
  • Reporting all findings and recommendations to the O&M management within SLA time frames.
