Description of Work Pasquotank Correctional Institution Salary Range 39,671.00 - 69,426.00 Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to maintenance and supervision of the electrical system for a correctional facility. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Knowledge of standard practices and method of the electrical trade is a must, and preference will be given to applicants with a high school diploma or 2 or more years of commercial experience or license in electrical trade. Position performs variety of tasks at or near the journey level in another trade such as carpentry, masonry, or plumbing essential job functions include the ability to supervise semi/unskilled inmates, comprehend and abide by policies, post orders, or other directives. Effectively communicate with others and conduct visual surveillance of male inmates assigned to the maintenance section. This position requires the ability to plan and organize various jobs and to comply with all current State and local codes. Responsible for tool accountability and instructing inmates in the safe and proper use of equipment.
