Our client, who is a Government owned corporation, is currently seeking an Electrician skilled and experienced in gas, diesel and solar generation for the power station located in Alice Springs.Overview:We are seeking an experienced Electrician with expertise in solar generation, diesel, and gas to join our team in Alice Springs. As an Electrical Tradesperson, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and modifying complex electrical and generation equipment. Your responsibilities will include reactive and predictive maintenance, investigating critical incidents, and contributing to operational and technical commissioning tasks.Key Responsibilities:• Perform reactive and predictive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems.• Investigate critical plant incidents, complete technical reports, and assess efficiency.• Conduct operational and technical commissioning tasks, collaborating with engineering teams.• Maintain gas/diesel reciprocating engines, gas turbines, and electrical power generation equipment.• Develop and maintain accurate site records for maintenance purposes.• Manage contractors on-site and ensure compliance with safety protocols.• Adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) processes and procedures.• Participate in an on-call roster and travel to other stations when required.• Uphold safety, environmental, and quality policies and corporate values.Selection Criteria:Essential:• A Grade Electrical/Fitter Mechanic trade qualifications with relevant industry experience.• Proficiency in fault-finding on complex electrical systems and working within permit to work systems.• Strong commitment to workplace safety.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.• Ability to interpret technical documents and procedures.• Experience working in a Permit to Work system and unsupervised environments.• Computer literacy.• NT driver’s license and willingness to participate in an on-call roster.• Compliance with safety, environmental, and quality policies.Desirable:• Experience in heavy industry environments.• Previous experience in gas, diesel, or solar generation.• High Risk Licences (CSE, Forklift, Working at Heights, EWP), senior first aid certification, or willingness to obtain.• Hazardous area electrical installation, inspection, and maintenance certification.Benefits & Culture• Salary of $85, 651 - $109,350 per annum (based on experience)• Allowances; ISSA $11,669 p/a & Consolidated Disability Allowance $5,738 p/a• 6-weeks annual leave• Ability to purchase additional leave up to 6-weeks• Relocation assistance outside of Alice Springs up to 10-weeksThis is a live in position based in Alice Springs and NOT a FIFO role.To apply for this position please select the Apply Now button and forward your resume in MS Word format only.PLEASE NOTE -To be considered for this position applicants must be a Permanent Resident of Australia.
