Position: Electrician - Healthcare Sector
Location: Roehampton
Employment Type: Full-Time (39 hours/week)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (overtime paid at 1.5x)

OVERVIEW:

A reputable organisation specialising in healthcare infrastructure is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to support the delivery of critical infrastructure and lifecycle replacement projects within a busy hospital environment. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to contribute to essential healthcare facilities. The role involves working in live clinical environments, where professionalism, safety, and quality workmanship are vital. Responsibilities include the installation, inspection, testing, commissioning of electrical systems, and implementation of compliant fire stopping solutions within healthcare-focused ME&P (Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health) packages.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS7671)
  • City & Guilds 2392-52 (Inspection & Testing – Initial Verification)
  • AM2
  • Full UK Driving Licence

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in live NHS or similar healthcare environments
  • Experience installing and maintaining fire stopping systems in line with industry standards
  • Understanding of HTM (Health Technical Memoranda) standards

  • Perform electrical installations to BS7671 (18th Edition) standards
  • Install, maintain, and inspect passive fire protection measures (fire stopping) in line with hospital safety regulations
  • Support project delivery within operational healthcare settings
  • Carry out initial verification, inspection, and testing (2392-52)
  • Ensure penetrations, service routes, and containment systems are appropriately sealed to maintain fire compartmentation
  • Adhere to health & safety, infection control, and fire safety procedures
  • Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and client representatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and certification
