Description

We are a growing electrical contracting business based in Sussex, specialising in domestic and commercial electrical installations, solar PV systems, and battery storage solutions. Due to increasing demand, we are looking to build our team with an experienced self-employed electrician who can hit the ground running on a variety of projects.
Role Overview
As a self-employed electrician, you will work on a mix of general electrical works as well as renewables projects (solar PV installations, battery storage, and associated works). You will be expected to deliver high-quality workmanship, maintain excellent customer service, and work efficiently both alone and alongside our existing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and commission domestic and commercial electrical systems.
  • Carry out installation and commissioning of solar PV and battery storage systems.
  • Perform inspection, testing, and certification in line with BS 7671.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
  • Liaise with office/admin staff to ensure smooth scheduling and job completion.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety on site.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection (preferred).
  • Proven experience with solar PV and battery storage installations
  • ECS / JIB card (preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence and own van/tools.

Pay: £150.00-£220.00 per day
