ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualified Electrician with a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
  • Inspection & Testing (C&G Level 3) qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance.
  • Ability to work systematically, follow procedures, and problem-solve efficiently.
  • Working knowledge of engineering compliance, best practices, and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our team in Cardiff. Reporting to the Hard FM Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality Hard FM services across our regional cluster. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, managing contractors, suppliers, and service delivery through our advanced maintenance system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of electrical and mechanical systems, including heating boilers, pumps, compressed air systems, fan coil units, and BMS systems.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs in line with compliance and safety standards.
  • Ensure statutory, legislative, and mandatory electrical maintenance tasks are completed on time.
  • Work with subcontractors to oversee statutory tests, inspections, and maintenance works.
  • Monitor compliance and documentation using systems like Global Maximo.
  • Provide real-time updates and reports to Hard FM Supervisors regarding compliance, risks, and issues.
  • Support business continuity planning, emergency responses, and disaster recovery.
  • Assist with billable works, small projects, and larger schemes in collaboration with Project Managers.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance, including conducting risk assessments and adhering to method statements.
  • Participate in an on-call rota for reactive maintenance outside standard operating hours.
