Electrician Fixed Plant Maintenance (Iron Ore Concentrator, Liberia) Location: Yekepa, Liberia Contract Type: Full-time / Fixed-term (Rotation) About the Role We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our maintenance team at an iron ore concentrator plant in Liberia. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant. Key Responsibilities Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and inspections on fixed plant equipment, including: Crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps Ball mills / SAG mills Thickeners, filters, and dewatering systems Install, test, and maintain motors, drives, MCCs, switchgear, and control circuits. Diagnose electrical faults and carry out corrective actions safely and efficiently. Support instrumentation maintenance on transmitters, sensors, and control loops. Perform preventative maintenance according to schedules and maintenance plans. Ensure compliance with lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), isolation procedures, and safety standards. Assist in commissioning, equipment upgrades, and system improvements. Complete job cards, work orders, and maintenance reports accurately. Collaborate with supervisors, planners, and mechanical teams to meet plant targets. Requirements Trade Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Electro-Mechanical/E&I. Minimum 5-10 years experience in electrical maintenance in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industry. Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, MCCs, VSDs, motors, instrumentation basics, and plant electrical systems. Ability to read electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and P&IDs. Experience in remote mining environments is an advantage. High level of safety awareness and adherence to procedures. Physically fit to work in demanding field conditions.
