Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity We’re looking for an Electrician/Electrical Fitter to join our Energy team based in Taupō. You will deliver high‑quality installation, maintenance, testing and fault repair work across a range of network assets including substations, transformers, switchgear and protection systems. In this role, you’ll: * Carry out installation, repairs and technical maintenance * Respond to and analyse electrical faults * Support job planning and assess resource and material needs * Deliver accurate, timely documentation and compliance reporting * Work closely with Project Managers, supervisors and field teams to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands‑on work, technical problem‑solving and being part of a high‑performing team supporting key energy infrastructure. You enjoy working both independently and as part of a skilled field team, and bring strong practical experience in electrical systems. You will bring: * Trade qualification in Electrical Fitting * Current electrical registration and practising licence * Strong knowledge of electrical test equipment, systems and procedures * Experience working with substations, transformers, switchgear or protection systems * Ability to diagnose, rectify and report electrical faults * Good written and verbal communication skills * Physical capability to undertake manual field work * Current NZ driver’s licence   Experience in transmission, distribution, or other large‑scale electrical infrastructure is an advantage, but not essential if you bring the right capability and attitude.
