Are you an experienced Electrician looking for your next challenge? Join Sunwater as an Electrician, where you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing electrical assets, assist with the operational requirements of the scheme, participate in the delivery of the non-routine electrical works programme and manage electrical contractors.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling, operating and controlling water distribution activities.
  • Identifying, analysing and resolving operational/technical problems and troubleshoot task to restore systems and equipment to an operational state.
  • Operation and maintenance of low voltage and high voltage electrical equipment.

Additional tasks:

  • Undertaking preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance work to the required standard and within the required timeframes.
  • Maintaining surveillance of water supply infrastructure and provide feedback on asset condition and performance.

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR PORTFOLIO IS DIVERSE, AND YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO OCCASIONALLY TRAVEL TO ACCESS THE REGION’S MOST DISTANT ASSETS. YOU WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO WORK A 1 IN 2 ON-CALL ROSTER WHICH WILL REQUIRE WEEKEND WORK.

We are seeking a highly analytical individual with the proven ability in evaluating situations and providing appropriate solutions. You will have a QLD Electrical Work Licence and have solid technical skills in instrumentation, PLC systems, SCADA, solar and communication systems.

You will also bring:

  • HV switching capability (or ability to obtain)
  • Workplace competencies for confined space, work at heights and elevating work platforms or be prepared to obtain them
