About the role Performs preventative electrical maintenance and routine electrical repairs at the Rhinelander plant and Offices. Performs other electrical related duties as required. Key responsibilities Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. • Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. • Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. • Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs, and to ensure compliance with codes. • Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system. Qualifications and skills Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) Have completed a State Licensed Journeyman Apprenticeship Program or the ability to complete or reasonable equivelant. Must have a valid driver’s license. 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred. Knowledge of electrical functions. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. The pay rate for this position is $38.32 per hour.
