Description

YOU WILL ALSO HAVE:

  • Electrical trade license is required
  • Open Cabling License is ideal
  • Understanding of PLC programming and fault finding (GE funuc and Siemens)
  • Electrical experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment
  • Ability to interoperate electrical schematics drawings
  • Understanding of ABB drives (AC/DC)
  • Understanding of AS 3000 wiring rules.
  • Self-drive and the ability to work autonomously as well as in a Team environment
  • Excellent communication skills and computer aptitude
  • Ability to apply sound judgement and manage competing deadlines
  • EWP and other safety training will be highly regarded

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our team based in Newcastle is on the lookout for an experienced Electrician. You will join an experienced, tight knit team and liaise with key stakeholders across the site.
This role is a Day Shift position working 12 hour shifts across a 7 day roster, predominant focusing on routine and predictive maintenance while also supporting exciting project work to improve the site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:

  • Complete assigned repair and preventative maintenance work orders in a safe, timely and professional manner
  • Undertake fault finding and troubleshooting of electrical, electronics, instrumentation and communication equipment when required
  • New electrical installations and Implementation of electrical projects
  • Maintain all work areas in a safe and tidy state.
  • Fully support front-line problem-solving investigations and initiatives
