Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Project Electrician to join our Contract Delivery team. The role will primarily be based in the Central Belt, working on MEICA projects for Scottish Water. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team delivering essential electrical services across the water industry.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must hold the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification and have a strong understanding of BS7671.
  • Proven experience working with instrumentation systems.
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering is highly desirable.
  • Inspection and Testing 2391 certification is desirable.
  • Experience with DOMS (Drinking Water Quality Management Systems) and Water Hygiene is a plus.
  • Confined space training is desirable.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Motor Control Centres (MCCs).
  • A basic understanding of ELV (Extra Low Voltage) control circuits.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the water industry or a similar sector (e.g., oil & gas).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Electrical Supervisor and Project Manager.
  • Work on MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) projects for Scottish Water.
  • Conduct survey works and provide detailed reports to the Project Manager.
  • Assist in managing and running projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
  • Work with schematics, cable blocks, and project specifications to ensure compliance with electrical standards.
