JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Panther Group is seeking multiple Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technicians for a growing client in the Greater Worcester area. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates looking to build a long-term career in electro-mechanical assembly with a strong focus on wiring.
You’ll be joining a collaborative and fast-paced production team where your skills will be valued, developed, and challenged.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1–4 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally in electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Strong consideration given to candidates with control panel wiring experience.
  • Open to individuals with machine operation backgrounds who are interested in transitioning into assembly roles.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mechanical & Electrical Assembly: Perform mechanical assembly of subassemblies and final assembly of control panels using hand and power tools.
  • Wiring: Execute point-to-point wiring from wire run lists and electrical schematics, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct functional testing and basic troubleshooting of assemblies to ensure compliance and performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow technicians and the engineering team to improve documentation and assembly processes.
  • Documentation: Follow detailed work instructions and ensure accurate completion of work order paperwork.

WIRING-SPECIFIC SKILLS – TOP PRIORITIES FOR THIS ROLE:

To be successful in this role, candidates should be confident in the following areas:

  • Understanding of Electrical Symbols – Ability to interpret symbols used in schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Crimping & Crimping Tools – Proficient in selecting and using the correct tools and techniques to ensure quality terminations.
  • Wire Size & Amperage Knowledge – Understanding how to match wire gauge to current load and application requirements.
  • Schematic Reading – Able to independently read and follow complex electrical schematics.
