Description NEW PLANT STARTUP General Description: Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technicians combine knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits to operate, test, and maintain unmanned, automated, robotic, or electromechanical equipment. Because the Electro-mechanical Maintenance Technician has specialized knowledge and expertise, they must be willing to mentor and assist in training others. Responsibilities: Actively participate in stopping and correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors. Demonstrate daily evidence of continuous improvement efforts of 5S and autonomous maintenance. Treat quality as a key pillar of our success by always Doing the right thing for our customers. Solve problems daily by working together as an engaged team member Help in the relief of breaks as needed Maintain records and documentation Read and comprehend manuals, blueprints, drawings, and schematics for troubleshooting and installation purposes Evaluate and design mechanical and electrical systems Bring groups together to effectively plan and schedule work, ensuring good communication and transparency Safely troubleshoot electrical (AC/DC), pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems associated with a wide variety of production equipment. Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics such as vibration analysis and thermal imaging on automated valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, pressure/temperature measurement, PLCs, CNC, and DCS systems, as well as Electronic Drives, PID controllers, and analog control systems Perform PLC modifications and simple programming Assist engineering groups with equipment selection, design and reliability improvements Perform the preventive maintenance required as per OEM manuals Fabricate replacement parts and make modifications to equipment using shop tools used for various disciplines, including Electrician, Millwright, welding, and pipefitting. Develop and improve process documentation, quality plans, training, and operating instructions as appropriate. Mentor and support level 1 and level 2 technicians Identify hazards and provide guidance on OSHA regulations Can work by themselves or in a team environment and follow all safe work practices Available for after-hours call times and work overtime as required Other projects and tasks as assigned. Requirements Experience: 10+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment in an industrial maintenance roll or similar Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques on various systems including electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, digital logic and microprocessor-based technology, motor controls, variable speed controls, bearings, power transmissions, drives systems and slide ways Experience with OSHA and NEC requirements Experience mentoring and training others Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong technical knowledge and good communication skills. Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards Sound communication skills and excellent problem-solving ability Possess skills required to improvise and adapt where needed Analytical thinker, which utilizes data to drive decisions. Strong team leadership and teamwork skills Education: Associates Degree or High School Diploma and relevant experience required. Physical Requirement: This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently lifting less than 10.
