We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Electro-Mechanical Service Workshop Engineer to join our dynamic team.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a proficient Electro-Mechanical Service Workshop Engineer to work alongside our team of experienced engineers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, repairing, and assembling pumps and associated equipment. This role requires a mechanically minded individual who is willing to learn and develop their electrical skills.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with various types of pumps and associated equipment
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and willingness to learn more advanced electrical concepts
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer manuals
Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of pumps and associated equipment, including centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, and their control systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
  • Assemble and disassemble pumps and related machinery, following technical drawings and manufacturer specifications
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality checks on repaired or serviced equipment
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in pumps and control systems
  • Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions for challenging repair tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including repair histories, parts used, and time spent on each task
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while working in the workshop and on-site
  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
  • Communicate effectively with clients, explaining technical issues and repair procedures in a clear and concise manner
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in pump maintenance and repair
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained
  • Occasionally travel to client sites for on-site repairs or installations
