QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree/Technical Certification required Degree in Electromechanical Engineering. A combination of other education and experiences will be considered.
  • Two (2) years or more experience in a similar position required.
  • Two (2) years or more experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment required.
  • Two (2) years or more experience in conducting tests and inspections of products and processes to evaluate quality and performance required.
  • Two (2) years or more experience in service and maintenance of electromechanical components required.
  • Two (2) years or more experience in preparing and conducting training required.
  • Two (2) years or more experience with trouble shooting of automated systems required.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Participate in engineering test performance of electromechanical assemblies, analyze and record test results, prepare written testing documentation and make the appropriate changes related to the Robotic Cartonization System, including slotting, process improvement, etc.
  • Perform minor facility maintenance work. Coordinate service maintenance and support with external contractors (for both the Robotic System and the facility).
  • Provide technical and maintenance support related to the Robotic Cartonization System.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems related to the Robotic Cartonization System.
  • Act as liaison between Operations and Engineering, including providing technical support to business owner and other technicians in operating the automation as well as training operations personnel in the proper use of the equipment.
  • Repair, rework and calibrate electromechanical components in order to meet engineering specifications.
  • May be required to work during the core hour shift in some occasions
  • Coordinates spare parts purchasing with suppliers and maintains/controls records of the spare part inventory (for both Robotic System and the facility).
  • Maintains a safe distribution center and participates in the Health and Safety Committee.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Position requires some traveling.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours on different shifts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
