Description The candidate will provide onsite, hands-on technical support at a government Electro-Optic Support Facility (EOSF) located at Quantico, VA. This role supports the testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of electro-optical systems including day optics, night vision/image intensification systems, laser systems, and thermal imaging systems. The individual will work in a lab environment and ensure all testing activities, equipment handling, and procedures follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct electro-optical system testing on: Day optical systems Image intensification / night vision systems Thermal imaging systems Laser-based optical systems Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance of optical and electronic systems Execute and assist with surveillance and evaluation testing Develop and follow test plans and test methods Analyze and document test data and results Maintain and calibrate test equipment and tools Support limited user evaluations during system testing Maintain inventory control and accountability of all EOSF equipment Ensure accurate documentation and records for all equipment and testing activities Support shipping and receiving of government equipment to and from the facility Maintain, update, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Support approximately two systems per quarter, each involving multiple tests Requirements Required Skills & Experience Hands-on experience with electro-optical, optical, or imaging systems Experience working in a technical lab or test facility Ability to test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware systems Experience following and documenting technical procedures and SOPs Ability to analyze technical data and clearly document results Familiarity with equipment inventory and accountability processes Additional Requirements U.S. Citizenship required Active Secret clearance
Responsibilities
The candidate will conduct testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various electro-optical systems. They will also ensure compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures and maintain accurate documentation of testing activities.
