Overview:
CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full time Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) to join our transhipment vessel, Donnacona on a roster schedule of 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. This vessel operates in Cape Preston, Western Australia and is a 24/7 operation for our customer: CITIC Pacific Mining. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the ETO is responsible for maintaining electrical and electronic equipment.

How will you contribute to our success?:

The ETO will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the vessel’s electrical and electronic equipment
  • Adopting safe working practices
  • UMS test schedules, alarm test etc
  • Assisting during maintenance as required over and above electrical equipment maintenance
  • First level maintenance of communications, radio and navigation equipment
  • Providing support for safe and efficient running of electrical equipment during cargo operations

The skills you will bring to our team:

  • Educational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 72 – Electro-Technical Officer (required)
  • AMSA Electro-Technical Officer CoC/CoR Unlimited
  • Certificate of Safety Training (STCW) (desirable)
  • Work Safely at Heights Certification (desirable)
  • Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification (desirable)
  • Hold, or be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (required)
  • Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working Rights
  • Be comfortable wearing a respirator
