About the Role: The Electrode Equipment Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of electrode-related machinery within a manufacturing environment. This position focuses on the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrode equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. The technician will collaborate closely with production teams to identify potential issues before they impact operations and implement effective solutions. By maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status, the role supports continuous improvement initiatives and compliance with safety standards. Ultimately, this position contributes directly to the reliability and quality of manufacturing processes through expert equipment care and maintenance. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Proven experience in maintenance or repair of industrial manufacturing equipment, preferably electrode or related machinery. * Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. * Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: * Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field. * Experience working in a manufacturing environment within the electrode or metal fabrication industry. * Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). * Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial equipment maintenance. * Ability to work flexible hours or shifts as needed to support production schedules. Responsibilities: * Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrode equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety. * Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues related to electrode machinery promptly to reduce production interruptions. * Collaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities that align with manufacturing timelines and priorities. * Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance work, equipment conditions, and parts inventory to support operational transparency and compliance. * Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment reliability based on observed performance and industry best practices. Skills: The required skills enable the technician to effectively perform hands-on maintenance and repairs, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. Mechanical and electrical knowledge is applied daily to diagnose issues and implement corrective actions quickly. Reading technical documents and schematics allows the technician to understand equipment design and maintenance requirements thoroughly. Preferred skills such as familiarity with CMMS help streamline maintenance scheduling and record-keeping, enhancing operational efficiency. Strong communication and collaboration skills facilitate coordination with production teams and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Training will be completed on day shift schedule. Once training is complete, maintenance department members supports day and night shift - based on production needs. Shift will be assigned based on the individuals technical skill level.
