SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:

Maintains equipment in good working order in the context of electricity, electronics, mechanics and automation using scheduled maintenance to avoid breakdowns. Solves problems and repairs and/or replaces equipment as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

· 5 years of related work experience and the educational requirements.
· Must be able to read, understand and apply user / maintenance manuals in doing repairs or maintenance.
· Knowledge of injection moulding and other related machinery.
· Additional related work experience may be substituted for the educational requirement or equivalence.
· Able to work closely with others.

Responsibilities

· Monitors normal operations of production equipment and ancillary equipment to avoid unplanned interruptions in daily production operations.
· Ensure normal maintenance of molds on injection machines.
· Able to analyze problems and solve them alone or with the help of the production manager or other qualified personnel.
· Prepares, in collaboration with the Production Manager, a planned maintenance plan for all production machines to ensure proper operation.
· Conduct regular inspections of electrical, electronic, mechanical systems to identify potential problems before they escalate.
· Check for signs of wear, corrosion, loose connections, and other physical or visual abnormalities.
·
Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for electrical, electronic, mechanical equipment.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components to prevent breakdowns.
·
Calibrate sensors, controllers, and other electrical, electronic, and mechanical devices to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Check and adjust automation systems to maintain optimal performance.
·
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical malfunctions when problems occur.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify the root cause of problems.
·
Carry out repairs on defective electrical, electronic and mechanical components.
Replace defective parts and make sure all components are working properly.
Update firmware and software on controllers, electrical/electronic devices to ensure compatibility and safety.
Modify and program controllers to meet changing requirements or optimize system performance.
·
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks.
Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment.
·
Ensure that all electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems comply with safety standards and regulations.
Implement safety protocols during maintenance activities to protect personnel and equipment.

Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, tooling, quality, and production, to understand their needs and solve problems related to electrical, electronic, mechanical systems.
·
Train other team members in the proper use and maintenance of electrical, electronic, mechanical equipment.
·
Identify opportunities to improve process or equipment design to increase reliability and efficiency.
Keep up to date with technological advances in the fields of electricity, electronics, mechanics.
·
Be prepared to respond quickly to emergencies, such as system failures that impact production or safety.
