JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Engineering Technician with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering technology to join our team focused on delivering custom automation solutions for the life sciences sector.
In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and packaging of complex devices that integrate both mechanical and electrical components. You’ll work closely with engineers and help ensure our systems are delivered to customers on time and to spec.
This is a 12-month contract, based onsite in Indianapolis, IN (46268), with the potential for extension or full-time hire based on performance and project needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Experience assembling electromechanical devices or electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
• Skilled in crimping, soldering, drilling, and tapping

• Assemble and test complex devices with mechanical and electrical components
• Build cable harnesses and other electrical assemblies
• Read and follow wiring schematics accurately
• Assist with inventory management and custom kit assembly
• Prepare systems for shipment, including packaging/skidding
• Support setup and teardown of large automation systems
