Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems is currently seeking an Electromechanical Design Engineering Manager 2 to lead the Electromechanical Design team in supporting various programs such as AARGM, AARGM-ER, and SiAW within the Advanced Weapons Business Unit in Northridge, CA.
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Department Head, the Electromechanical Design Engineering Manager 2 will be responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic goals and objectives as applicable to Electromechanical Design to support overall business unit objectives. The roles and responsibilities of their team include the following: conceptualize, design, and develop electromechanical assemblies, components, and systems for flight vehicles and special test equipment. There is a significant focus on cable design, integration of COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) hardware, and the development of test hardware for production environments and customer deliverables.
The role will support ensuring electromechanical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization’s established policies and procedures.
This position requires the selected candidate to work on-site in Northridge; CA on a 9/80 schedule. Telework is not available for this position. Relocation assistance, although not guaranteed, may be available.
