JOB DESCRIPTION:

• The quality inspector shall support on-site at single or multiple supplier facilities to perform documentation, visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.
• Validate all product and paperwork compliant to including but not limited to: engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications.
• Inspect Certificates of Conformance from material, external suppliers, and other service providers to ensure these items conform to customers purchase order requirements and specifications
• Perform a wide variety of conventional/traditional inspection operations utilizing various inspection techniques
• Report via operating systems for Customer and Verify while communicating any non-conformance while providing reject or rework disposition. Must be willing to utilize personal laptop to complete customer inspection records within SAP platform and Verify’ s reporting platform.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong background in the manufacturing of mechanical parts
• Determines by visual examination and measurements with precision instruments, gauges, etc., the adherence to blueprint specifications and the proper standards of workmanship, material, finish, etc. on machined parts
• Checks measurements to close tolerances.
• Parts inspected may be made from any of the different grades of steel, aluminum, or aluminum alloy, brass, bronze, etc., and may be bolts, die castings, sand casting, forgings, extrusions, purchases parts,
• Strong background in inspection of printed circuits and circuit card assemblies.
• Minimum 10 years of solder and conformal coating inspection experience.
• Strong understanding of solder and conformal coating IAW IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001 requirements.
• Active Certification for JSTD-001, preferred or previously held certification(s). Must be willing to re-certify and maintain active certifications as required.
• Active Certification for IPC-610, preferred or previously held certification(s) must be willing to re-certify and maintain active certifications as require
• Detail-oriented and proficient at interpreting technical documents and work instructions.
• Proficient with personal computers
• Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard and knowledge is required, including complete review of technical data package for full traceability of documents.
• Experience using various inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• A strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to apply it according to standards
• Experience with methods such as visual inspection, dimensional inspection, surface finish checks, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
• Knowledge of NADCAP and Special Processes

REQUIREMENTS:

• Posses soft skills to clearly communicate non-conformances internally and externally
• Candidate should be computer savvy and MUST be willing to use personal laptop to complete inspection reporting via SPP (Supplier Performance Platform)
• Must be willing to utilize personal cell phone
• Must be willing to work in fast paced manufacturing environment and posses all PPE required per suppliers safety requirements.
• Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, maneuver
• Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
