EDUCATION:

• Two years of college (or equivalent education)

EXPERIENCE:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Industrial Electromechanic Technician combines mechanical technology knowledge with electrical and electronic circuits. They operate, test, and maintain automated, robotic, or electromechanical equipment. The Electromechanic inspects, maintains, diagnoses, modifies, repairs, and adjusts various mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Keep tools organized and in good condition
• Participate in safety improvement teams
• Consult maintenance guides and equipment manuals before performing tasks
• Confirm machine availability with the maintenance supervisor when needed
• Maintain automated industrial/production equipment
• Maintain and troubleshoot automatic conveyors and material handling equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment
• Follow lockout/tagout and health & safety procedures
• Maintain standardized operating procedures for processes and equipment
• Keep technical data, manuals, and process drawings up to date
• Participate in process improvement teams
• Collaborate with engineering on new product development teams
• Collaborate with engineering to improve processes and equipment
• Follow environmental policies and procedures
