Oregon Physics currently has 23 employees and expects to grow to 27 employees in the next two years. Our employees get to work on state of the art products that are transforming industries. We work with a number of advanced technologies including ultrahigh vacuum systems, charged particle optical systems, inductively coupled plasma systems, RF systems and precise motion systems.We are looking for talented and experienced individuals to assemble, develop and test electron sources and electron optical components for use in advanced electron beam lithography systems.
Oregon Physics is looking for a full-time Product Specialist whose responsibilities will be to:
· Operate vacuum based test equipment to test and characterize electron source products.
· Support the clean manufacturing and packaging of products to minimize the particle and surface contamination and meet customer standards for cleanliness.
· Utilize specialized equipment such as CMMs, optical microscopes and electron microscopes to perform precision assembly and metrology of electron sources and electron optics.
· Learn and utilize processes for precision assembly and semiautomated test of electron source products.
· Read, interpret, and follow assembly instructions, schematics, and engineering drawings to build electron sources and chambers.
· Utilize hand held tools as well as measuring and alignment equipment to build electron sources and optics to specifications.
· Develop test automation processes using Labview for the control of high voltage power supplies, vacuum systems, motion stages, and measurement equipment.
· Develop scripted processes for producing factory acceptance testing reports from product test data.
· Perform quality work checks as required by process specifications and assembly procedures to insure the product meets factory specifications.
· Complete assembly and test documentation to demonstrate Factory Acceptance Test specifications on electron source products.
· Continually improve product assembly processes, product test processes, product documentation, and product workflows.
· Work with scientists and engineers to develop new electron source products.
Position Requirements:
· Bachelor Degree or higher in technical field such as Physics or Engineering or three years experience with manufacturing and assembly using high vacuum equipment .
· Proven experience doing precision assembly in a research or manufacturing environment.
· High level of attention to detail on work processes.
· Excellent organization, communication, and planning skills.
· Able to work in a clean room environment.
· Flexible hours with occasional weekend work.
· Able to lift and move heavy (45lb) objects.
Preferred Experience:
· 5 years experience assembling vacuum components and systems in a production environment.
· Experience with cleanroom environments and producing products that meet industry standards for particle and surface contamination.
· 5 years experience with the assembly or test of electron sources, columns, or systems.
· Experience developing automated test software with Labview, Python , or Perl.
· Experience with high voltage power supply, electronic test equipment, and motorized stages.
· Experience modeling charge particle optical systems
