Description

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Engineer to join our team to support critical Modernisation and uplifting of Electronic Warfare capability that protect national security. As an Electronic Engineer, you have a passion for contributing to the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to testing, production, and ongoing support of Defence products. Your ability to collaborate, adapt to new technologies, and deliver high-quality solutions makes you an indispensable part of any team.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, software engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong expertise in electrical engineering or software engineering standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Working in EW and defence experience preference.
  • Experience with quality assurance, testing, and validation.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience
  • An understanding of Electronic Warfare
  • Defence experience (Uniformed, APS or Contractor)
  • AGSVA security clearance – NV 1 (minimum – with ability to obtain NV2 is required)
Responsibilities
  • Analyse and troubleshoot complex electronic issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless product integration.
  • Source and evaluate electronic components, optimising for cost, performance, and availability.
  • Contribute to design reviews, technical specifications, and project planning.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices electronic engineering.
  • Work to improve performance metrics through critical planning and execution of development tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
