COMPANY BACKGROUND

Located in Fairfield East NSW, BBC Plastics specializes in the manufacturing of the highest quality plastic packaging products, including plastic take away food containers and lids. We use state-of-the-art automated equipment in our purposes-built factory and warehouse.
We are currently looking for an Electronic Equipment Technician to install, operate, maintain and repair our plastic injection molding machinery, including Sumitomo Demag SEEV-A series, YUSHIN RC/RC11, YUSHIN HSA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Set-up, troubleshoot, process, and maintain plastic injection molding machines
· Install, removal, adjustment of all injection molding machinery and equipment
· Connection of water, hydraulic and air lines
· Ability to read drawings and set-up sheets
· Make adjustments for short, flash, pressure, speed and temperature
· Ensure molded components meet all product quality criteria including dimensional criteria
· Verify correct set-up of moulds, presses, and auxiliary equipment before machine start up
· Establish proper moulding conditions. Obtain mould approval at the appropriate time
· Must be able to work independently on new process development as well as troubleshooting current production issues
· Develop new processes, assess and document new and existing processes. Implement and evaluate changes to existing processes designed to improve product quality, productivity and overall equipment efficiency.
· Validate moulds and equipment
· Input master molding parameters into each press
· Communicate any process changes in both written and verbal form
· Recommends equipment, tooling or mould changes or replacements to improve quality and overall efficiency
· Document all significant events, including process changes, alarms, mould cleaning, etc.
· Maintains safe and clean working environment following OHS and company policy

RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

· Certificate IV or equivalent in Electronics Technology/ Mechanical Technology or related field
· Minimum 3 years of experience in electronic machinery installation, operations, maintenance and repairing
· Knowledge and experience in plastic injection molding technology is advantage
· Understanding of Sumitomo Demag SEEV-A series, YUSHIN RC/RC11, YUSHIN HAS machines preferred
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent problem solving skills and hands-on skills
· Able to work in a team environment
