DESCRIPTION

Do you have a solid accounting background and a keen eye for detail? Are you comfortable navigating electronic payment systems and reconciling transactions? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are seeking an Electronic Payments Specialist, to join our Finance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our ACH, live check, and electronic payment processes. Reporting to the Cash Manager, you will be responsible for reconciliation, transaction tracking, and compliance—all in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

As an Electronic Payments Specialist, you will:

  • Manage the daily processing and reconciliation of electronic payments, ACH transactions, and live checks.
  • Collect, verify, and compile online and mobile debit payments from third-party vendors.
  • Reconcile loan disbursements to debit cards and verify transactions using reconciling software.
  • Maintain accurate Excel spreadsheets to track chargebacks, refunds, credits, and ICS fees.
  • Prepare and import daily and monthly transaction data into the General Ledger.
  • Compile monthly debit card historical reports and track excessive merchant card declines.
  • Support branches via email with payment-related issues such as funding verification, duplicate payments, reversals, and fraud.
  • Verify and process ACH setup forms for dealers and complete related monthly ledger imports.
  • Collaborate with the Cash Manager to improve current and future processes while ensuring policy compliance.
  • Provide backup support across the Cash Management Department as needed.
  • Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.

Qualifications, you could be a great addition to our team if you:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial services or payments environment.
  • Solid understanding of bank reconciliation procedures.
  • Working knowledge of NACHA rules and ACH regulatory standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel and general ledger systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
