Role Summary The Electronics Engineering Technician will be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of various spatial measurement equipment as it pertains to survey, mapping, construction, and related construction equipment. Responsibilities * Troubleshoot & repair of Geo-Spatial equipment * Estimation of service costs * Bench repair and calibration of various measurement equipment in-house including, but not limited to: total stations, optical and digital theodolites, lasers, locators, optical and digital levels, GPS systems, and data collectors * Maintain company rental equipment fleet when necessary * Update all repair and parts databases and maintain records for inventory control in SAP * Perform other tasks as assigned or required by the management team   About you * Technical skills * Electronics Repair Techniques * Diagnostic Repair Equipment * Measurement Equipment Calibration * Computer Hardware & Software Knowledge * Windows-Based Software Utilities * Inventory Management * Analytical & Diagnostic Skills * Quality Assurance Behaviours and attitudes related to the organization's values (Cultural Commitment): * Teamwork * Continuous improvement * Accountability Qualifications: * Post-secondary education in electronics technology * Related industry experience is considered an asset, particularly in the fields of surveying, mapping, construction, or related areas. * Technical Expertise: electronic repair techniques, diagnostic repair equipment, optical repair techniques, calibrating measurement equipment * Understanding of computer hardware and the Windows operating system Experience with Windows-based software diagnostic utilities and flash-loaders. * Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills * Good Organization and Work Ethic * Good Communication Skills * Work well on your own
