This position is ideal for technicians who thrive in a hands-on environment and enjoy applying advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques. You'll work alongside a team to support our products' lifecycle and uphold the high standards expected in public safety communications. Job Duties & Responsibilities • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair RF communication products including mobile and portable land mobile radios (LMR) • Setup and conduct tests on products to verify they adhere to company standards • Utilize specialized test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators • Perform firmware updates, alignments, and component-level repairs • Document service activities, parts usage, and repair outcomes in internal systems • Maintain quality control standards and comply with ISO procedures • Support root cause analysis for product failures and contribute to continuous improvement • Provide technical support to customers through email and/or phone calls • Ability to work in a production environment and follow standard manufacturing processes to include ESD requirements • All other duties assigned by supervisor Requirements Knowledge & Skills • Strong understanding of RF theory with analog and digital electronics • Proficiency in soldering and reworking PCBs at component level a plus • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office required • Ability to interpret schematics, datasheets, and service manuals • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff members and customers required • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Confidentiality and Strong attention to detail and time management skills Qualifications • Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited institution • Experience: 3–5 years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience • FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) a plus • Must be eligible to work in the United States Work Conditions • Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods • On-site role in a production environment with some exposure to RF emissions • Requires sitting, walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, lifting • Travel between floors and office buildings may be required • Environmental conditions: noise, vibration, oils, solvents, chemicals • Safety protocols and PPE provided as needed BK Technologies Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
